changed name to Merwin & Simpkins, to Merwin, Taylor & Simpkins and to Merwin, Hulbert & Co. all in the same year of 1868

In 1861 they advertised in Harper's and Leslie's Weekly

"A new cartridge revolver, carrying six bullets (80 to the pound)" at $12. No further specification was made. It is believed that this was the gun made by Daniel Moore. However, this guns were a seven shot and not a six shot revolver. This very likely relationship lasted until January 11, 1862 when Merwin & Bray advertised in the Harper's Weekly

In Trow's New York City Directory for 1865 figures this advertisement

"PRESCOTT'S CARTRIDGE ROVOLVERS
the 8-in. or Navy size, carries a ball weighing 38 to the lb., and the No. .32 or 4-in. Revolver, a ball 80 to the lb. By recent esperiments made in the Army, these Revolvers were pronounced the best and most effective in use. For pariculars call or send for a Circular to
Merwin & Bray, Sole Agents, No.262 Broadway, N.y."
